With a heartfelt message to “Stay at home and support the NHS so they can bring your loved ones home”, musical theatre supergroup The Barricade Boys have joined forces with special guests Alfie Boe, Ramin Karimloo, John Owen-Jones, David Shannon, Alistair Brammer, Fra Fee and Rob Houchen to put together a stunning rendition of ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Misérables, introduced by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby
They dreamed a dream of performing in the West End and it has come true for Brit School graduate Shan Ako & the Royal Academy of Music’s Lily Kerhoas as they take on the roles of Eponine and Cosette alongside a star-studded cast in Les Misérables – The Staged Concert, running at London’s Gielgud Theatre from 10 August to 30 November 2019.
We knew the West End production of Les Misérables was moving to the Gielgud Theatre while the Queen’s was being refurbished but we couldn’t have predicted that the venue would be hosting the concert version of the ever-popualr musical and that the cast would feature Michael Ball (Javert), Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Fantine) and Matt Lucas (Thénardier). Last night was the primetime broadcast of the 2017 Olivier Awards on ITV!
