Don't Tell Me Not To Fly soars to Edinburgh this August...

There are going to be some seriously awesome women taking to the stage during the Edinburgh Fringe this August! Four fab female leads will be stealing the spotlight during the festival to share their stunning vocals and personal stories with audiences...

Janie Dee (Follies, Hello Dolly!), Danielle Hope (BBC’s Over the Rainbow, Grease), Ria Jones (Sunset Boulevard, Cats) and Claire Sweeney (Chicago, Legally Blonde) will star in DON'T TELL ME NOT TO FLY at Underbelly's McEwan Hall this August as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Joyously celebrating women in theatre and their limitless potential, the show features West End leading ladies, performing much-loved songs from West End and Broadway musicals as well as pop hits and sharing an exclusive insight into the performers’ on and off stage lives, all accompanied by live piano and spectacular projections.

Each day a celebrated West End star will take centre stage to perform:

4th-6th August – Janie Dee
Olivier, Evening Standard and WhatsOnStage Best Actress Nominee for Follies. Other credits include Linda, Hello Dolly!, Antony & Cleopatra, Much Ado About Nothing, Hand To God, The Seagull, Noises Off and Blithe Spirit. 

7th-13th August – Claire Sweeney
TV and West End favourite, star of Crazy For You, Chicago, Legally Blonde, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hairspray, Tell Me on a Sunday and Guys and Dolls with Patrick Swayze.

14th-20th August – Danielle Hope
Winner of BBC's Over The Rainbow, and star of The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Les Misérables, The Last Five Years, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Sound of Music.

21st-27th August – Ria Jones
Most recently seen as Norma Desmond in the acclaimed UK tour of Sunset Boulevard and known for lead roles in Evita, Cats, Les Misérables, NINE, A Little Night Music, Victor Victoria, Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Into The Woods and Jerry’s Girls.
