Perry O'Bree at the West End opening of Everybody Loves Jamie

Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O'Bree attending the West End premiere (on 22 November 2017) of EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE at the Apollo Theatre. What happened when he met the real-life teen drag queen Jamie Campbell, who inspired the musical?

Sixteen: the edge of possibility. Time to make your dreams come true. Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE has an original score by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling Dan Gillespie Sells and a book by writer Tom MacRae. It's directed by Jonathan Butterell and comes to London after its award-winning world premiere last year at Sheffield Crucible. Reprising their roles from Sheffield, John McCrea plays the title role of Jamie alongside Josie Walker as his Mum, Margaret.
