Top Hat casting

Highgate's Upstairs at the Gatehouse theatre is hosting the fringe premiere of TOP HAT and they've just announced the cast who'll be joining Joanne Clifton. So let's take a look at the StageFaves who'll be facing the music and dancing this Christmas.

Taking a break from the UK tour of Flashdance, the role of Dale Tremont is being played by Strictly Come Dancing Champion Joanne Clifton. Joanne recently starred as Millie Dillmount in the Thoroughly Modern Millie UK Tour. And playing opposite her as Jerry Travers is Joshua Lay (Matilda and UK tour of Funny Girl).

The Gatehouse welcomes back, as Bates, Samuel Haughton after appearing in Ovation’s Singin’ in the Rain in 2014. Ellen Verenieks (End of the Rainbow & Dusty) and Darren Benedict (UKIP The Musical) will play Madge and Horace and Matthew James Willis (UK tour of The Mikado) will play the madcap Alberto Beddini.

Also in the cast are Leanne Groutage (Starlight Express & UK tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), Grant Jackson and Marcus J Foreman.

They are joined by recent graduates Rhys Ashcroft, Olivia Sinclair and Grace Usher.

TOP HAT runs from 13 December 2017 to 28 January 2018
