Priscilla Queen of the Desert

The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch recently revealed their Spring programme and #StageFaves fans are in for a real treat as they will be producing the regional professional premiere of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT. So once you've got the sequins, and the feather boas, and all that fabulous attitude out in the air, which of your #StageFaves would you like to see as the iconic Mitzi Mitosis, Bernadette Bassenger, and Felicia Jollygoodfellow?

Jason Donovan, Tony Sheldon and Oliver Thornton took us to Boogie Wonderland for the show's West End premiere in 2009. Noel Sullivan, Richard Grieve and Graham Weaver urged us to Shake Your Groove Thing for the 2013-14 tour, and you might have seen Duncan James, Simon Green and Adam Bailey strutting their Hot Stuff in the 2015-16 UK tour, so the bar has been set high for whoever is going to step into those platform heels!

Written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and directed by Douglas Rintoul, Artistic Director at the Queen’s Theatre, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT is an uplifting and heart-warming tale that has it all – outrageous costumes, flamboyant choreography and plenty of sass. It’s jam-packed with 70s, 80s and 90s dance floor favourites including I Will Survive, Do't Leave Me This Way, I Say A Little Prayer and Finally.

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT runs from 27 April – 19 May 2018, and we're promised a highly entertaining new take on this iconic musical. We can't wait!!
