Sherman is the grandson of Al Sherman, the famous Tin Pan Alley songwriter whose works were recorded by some of the greatest artists of all time, like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra & Ella Fitzgerald. His father and uncle, the world famous Sherman Brothers, penned the lyrics and music for over a dozen blockbuster films, including Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Jungle Book, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, etc. etc. etc. (But not the King & I).
