It’s the best new for fans of the West End production of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre as Adrienne Warren and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith continue in the roles of Tina and Ike Turner until 13 April 2019. Plus over 200,000 tickets have been released for the popular show and there’s a cast recording is in the pipeline.

Following the announcement that at the end of January 2019 Layton Williams takes over the role of Jamie New & Shane Richie will play Hugo/Loco Chanelle in the West End production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at London’s Apollo Theatre, there is news today that Hayley Tamaddon is stepping into the role of Miss Hedge. Now we have a good excuse to plan a return visit!

Open Air Theatre Regent’s Park’s awesome staging of Jesus Christ Superstar was a sell-out in 2016 and 2017. Even after two hugely successful seasons in 2016 and 2017, it was still hard to say our farewells to Regent’s Park’s memorable staging of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Chris Superstar. Now we are looking forward to welcoming it back next year when it transfers to the Barbican Theatre for 60 performances from 4 July to 24 August.

Southwark Playhouse could never be accused of not championing musicals including productions of new work. Next year’s season will see the transfer Aspects of Love from Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester; the one-man musical Stay Awake, Jake in its first full-length run and the world premiere of new musical The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
