Oh how we do wish they were somehow here again... Killian Donnelly and Holly-Anne Hull only had 13 performances as the Phantom and Christine, and sadly they won't get any more as the remainder of the 14-month UK and Ireland tour of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has now been cancelled.

Craig Revel Horwood's new production of Baz Luhrmann's STRICTLY BALLROOM only announced its big-name star, Strictly Come Dancing's Kevin Clifton, in mid-March, just as theatres were locking down. It's now postponed its tour, which was due to launch in late September, by a full year...
She got to perform 'And I Am Telling You' with Jennifer Hudson on The Voice... and soon Nicole Raquel Dennis will get a chance to sing all of Effie White's songs every night as she is cast to lead Dreamgirls' first-ever UK tour. Watch her in action here.
Bring on the champions. Queen wanted to give musical theatre fans something to look forward to so scrambled quickly to reschedule We Will Rock You's 2020 tour, which had been due to start next month, for early 2021, with several new dates added.
After Thriller and Waitress, we're sad to wave goodbye to another rollicking West End musical whose run has been cut short by the coronavirus crisis. Bring It On The Musical will play a London season at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall from 9 December 2020 to 10 January 2021, following a UK and Ireland tour which opens at the Birmingham Hippodrome on 2 June 2020.

Fans of Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical are likely to be just a little bit excited to hear that Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler will be back as Sloane and Falco in a new UK tour of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell, opening at Manchester Opera House from 10-26 September 2020. They appear alongside new stars of the musical: Glenn Adamson as Strat and Martha Kirby as Raven.

New term dates are in the calendar for Wise Children’s musical adaptation of Enid Blyton’s Malory Towers, now in a co-production with Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, where the tour will open on 27 March 2020. London dates see the show running at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall from 27 July to 31 August.

Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O’Bree attending the opening of Curtains at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre. Perry is wowed by the incredible dance numbers, fabulous vocals & on the edge of his seat as he tries to solve such an entertaining musical whodunnit. Plus he gets to chat post-show to the stars including Jason Manford, Carley Stenson, Rebecca Lock, Samuel Holmes and lan Burkitt. It’s certainly a musical to lift your spirits.
