I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change reopens newly named Chiswick Playhouse

All change in Chiswick! The Tabard Theatre has been renamed Chiswick Playhouse, ' in honour of the ara's illustrious theatrical heritage, and opens its inaugural season later this month with a stellar new revival of long-running Off-Broadway hit I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.

After playing over 5,000 performances Off-Broadway from 1996 to 2008, and become the second-longest running Off-Broadway musical in history, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change was substantially re-written in 2018 to reflect the challenges facing the romantics of today. It's now presented for the first time in the UK with a stellar West End cast, directed by Charlotte Westenra.

The course of true love never does run smoothly. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change traces the joys and tribulations of first dates, marriage, and growing old through a series of vignettes and encounters. With wonderful songs, outrageous comedy and heart-rending emotion, it's for anyone who’s fallen in, or out, of love.

For this brand-new London outing, the cast are George Rae (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and The Lion King, West End; Annie, UK tour), Dominic Hodson (War Horse and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, West End; West Side Story, UK tour), Laura Johnson (Hair 50th Anniversary, The Vaults and Hope Mill Theatre; Madagascar, UK tour) and Naomi Slights (Mamma Mia, West End; Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Saturday Night Fever, UK tour).

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change has book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. The Chiswick production has musical direction by Stuart Pedlar, choreography by Steven Harris and design by Verity Johnson.
