Julie Atherton headlines January

January is a notorious month for the winter blues. But #StageFave Julie Atherton aims to provide an antidote with a new musical revue at legendary cabaret venue, Brasserie Zedel (a.k.a. Crazy Coqs)...

After a sell-out workshop production at the Canal Café Theatre in January 2016, Atomicus Entertainment is thrilled to bring JANUARY to the heart of the West End at one of the most prestigious cabaret venues in London. JANUARY runs 23, 24 and 25 January 2017 at 9pm Live at Zedel.

New musical revue JANUARY explores the worst month of the year in all its glory - a time when everyone is colder, fatter and depressed that Christmas is a gruelling 11 months away. Don't worry about all the food you ate over Christmas, a Dry-January will soon balance out the calories! You'll get round to using that new gym membership tomorrow, and surely nobody will remember how embarrassing you were at the Christmas staff party.

Featuring a live band and hilarious, uplifting new songs, this is the perfect show to kickstart your 2017 - and, who knows, it might even convince you that January isn't so bad after all...

JANUARY has original songs by Patrick Stockbridge andn a book by Alexander Parker, who also directs. Musical direction is by Tim Gilvin.

Julie Atherton is one of the West End's most versatile entertainers, with a distinctive voice and unmatched comic timing. The Preston-born star is well known as a supporter of new writing in musical theatre. She's always done the same in her recordings, and that continues in her latest album, 'Rush of Life’. Best known for creating the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in Avenue Q, and her role as Cathy in Jason Robert Brown's The Last 5 Years, Julie is one of the most prolific and successful young musical theatre stars in the West End, having previously played Sophie in musical Mamma Mia! and Serena in Fame. She is also an experienced concert artist, having headlined numerous musical engagements at venues as diverse as the Donmar Warehouse and the Royal Albert Hall.

Further ahead in the new year, After You by Alex Parker and Katie Lam will run Live at Zedel from 13 to 22 April next year. It'll be the first brand-new musical to run at the cabaret venue.
