Ethan Le Phong's #SummerMusicalMoment

Our #SummerMusicalMoment interview series kicks off with ALADDIN star Ethan Le Phong. Having finished his West End contract, been offered a Broadway run of the show only to injure himself, it's been one hell of a year for Ethan, but he's on the mend and ready to enjoy the summer season! We asked him some summer-themed questions to get the lowdown on what makes him tick in the heat...

Hi Ethan, thanks for chatting! Will you get any time off this summer?
Funny you say that, I actually do have some time off for the summer. I just finished my contract with ALADDIN London and have transferred to the Broadway company. Sadly I recently injured myself so I am now out of the show to recover. Plenty of relaxation, doctor's orders.

Sorry to hear that! What will you be getting up to during your time off?
Since moving back to Atlanta, in the States to do my rehab, all I've done is lay out poolside at the lake (Lake Lanier), and catching the latest superhero movies at the cinema.

Have you got a holiday planned?
My family and I recently had our holiday getaway over in South Carolina. Isle of Palm to be exact. We rented a huge cabin for the family where we fished, took in the sun, and I enjoyed my time with my munchkins. That's my nickname for my niece and nephews. It was an All-American holiday since it was the 4th of July. Fireworks over the beach. Smores over the campfire.

Where is your dream summer holiday escape?
Swimming and relaxing in a luxury hut on the water in Bali. I've never been. Of course, that would be perfect for a winter escape. I’m not too fond of the cold!

And now for the quickfire round!

What are the 3 things you pack first?
Sunblock, Speedos, flip flops.

What’s on your summer playlist?
Chilled jazz music.

Who would be your dream holiday companion?
I will always bring my bestie, Maria Graciano, if she can schedule her holiday away from MATILDA. That is if Pietro Boselli wasn't available to join me on holiday. ;)
