Could we tempt Lea Michele to follow her former Glee co-star - and now Olivier Award winner - Amber Riley into treading the West End boards? She's dipping her toe into the London theatre scene with an exclusive one-off gig next Friday 21 April 2017 at Shoreditch Town Hall, a preview of her new musical theatre album Places...

Glee star Lea Michele will play a London's Shoreditch Town Hall for one night only on Friday 21 April 2017, previewing songs from her upcoming musical theatre album Places, which is released on 28 April.

Places takes its title from musical theatre. As Lea explains:

"When you perform on Broadway the word 'Places' is the last thing you hear over the loudspeaker before a show is about to begin. 'Places' I thought was the perfect title for this music and how it reflects who I am as an artist today and where I come from.”

[British theatrical translation: we say "Beginners". It tells performers they should get to the spot where they begin the show.]

After her more pop-influenced debut album Louder in 2011, Lea says Places "represents a return to form, a return to the stage, and a return to the place I belong." We say she belongs in the West End - what do YOU say?

When Lea tweeted the news, fans got excited - including all of us here at #StageFaves! Tickets for the London date go on sale this Wednesday 12 April 2017. Let us know if you get lucky!
