Everybody is definitely talking about Layton Williams, best known to musical theatre fans for his roles in Rent and Hairspray, who will take over as Jamie New in the award-winning Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Apollo Theatre from 28 January 2019. Warp Films and the creators of the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie are are looking to cast 30 young people to star as the movie’s principal Year 11 class and will be holding an open casting call, challenging Sheffield to help them find their stars. Actress Shobna Gulati, best known for playing Sunita Alahan in ITV’s Coronation Street, is joining the award-winning London cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, taking on the role of Ray from 7 May 2018.
