SIX in Edinburgh

In terms of column inches and broadcast time, SIX THE MUSICAL reigned supreme at Edinburgh Fringe, where it finished its sold-out, extra-dates-added run at the Udderbelly today. The show's hard-working PR Kevin Wilson was keeping track of the show's frenzied festival coverage. As it now transfers to London's Arts Theatre, catch up here... and don't forget to enter our competition to win tickets!

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the six ill-treated wives of Henry VIII seize the mic to tell their stories. With songs including Ex Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don’t Lose Ur Head, this pop concert remixes five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an evening of 21st-century sass. If you thought SIX was all about one man – you thought wrong!

The cast are: Aimie Atkinson (as Katherine Howard), Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour), Alexia McIntosh (Anna of Cleves), Jarneia Richard-Noel (Catherine of Aragon), Maiya Quansah-Breed (Catherine Parr) and Millie O'Connell (Anne Boleyn) with Grace Mouat (Swing/Dance Captain).

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, who met at university, SIX started life with Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017, where it was nominated for the inaugural Musical Theatre Review Best Musical Award. The original amateur production attracted the attention of West End producers Kenny Wax and Global Musicals, who brought the show for a handful of sell-out showcase dates in December/January to the Arts Theatre, where it now returns for an extended season.

This new production is directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille

SIX runs at the Arts Theatre, London from 30 August to 23 September 2018. Tickets are priced £6-£39.50. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE!
