Into the Woods at the Cockpit

Sondheim classic INTO THE WOODS gets a 21st-century twist in an in-the-round production directed by and starring Tim McArthur, which runs at London's Cockpit Theatre 23 May to 24 June 2018, with a press night on 25 May. Full casting here...

This May, All Star Productions – Winner of the Best Producer in the Off-West End Awards 2018 – join forces with Trilby Productions to bring their fresh new adaptation of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods to The Cockpit. Performed in the round, this darkly comic production has been given a 21st-century twist with an ensemble of 17 larger-than-life characters drawn from modern day Britain.

This wonderful adaptation of Into the Woods stars Jordan Michael Todd as the narrator. Director Tim McArthur will take on the role as the Baker alongside Jo Wickham, who reprises her role as the Baker’s Wife. Michele Moran will play the Witch who sends them into the woods to reverse the spell put upon them. Having performed in the original cast of Into the Woods at the Phoenix Theatre, Mary Lincoln stars as Cinderella’s evil Stepmother straight from TOWIE, with Abigail Carter-Simpson playing Cinderella.

Joining this fairy tale cast is Florence Odumosu as Little Red Riding Hood, Jamie O'Donnell as Jack and Madeleine MacMahon as his mother. From the Jeremy Kyle Show to the Royal Wedding, this contemporary revival is completed with a drug-using Rapunzel performed by Jodie Steele and a paedophile Wolf played by Ashley Daniels. The cast also includes Francesca Pim, Jonathan Wadey, Michael Duke, David Pendlebury, Christina Thornton and Macey Cherrett.
