Born and bred in New Zealand, Matthew moved to Europe at 17 to complete his schooling as an exchange student in Germany and ended up staying.
Theatre includes: Mamma Mia! (Novello Theatre), King Marchand in Victor/Victoria (Southwark Playhouse), Rusty and Greaseball in Starlight Express (Apollo Victoria and Bochum, Germany), Kenickie and Danny Zucco in Grease (Victoria Palace), Mankustrap in Cats (UK tour), Monty in Saturday Night Fever (UK tours), The Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Essen, Germany), Miss Saigon (Capitol Theatre, Sydney) and most recently the Evening Standard Best Musical Award nominee Dogfight (Southwark Playhouse).
Television and film includes: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Awards: Matthew won first prize at the World Peace Film and Music Awards for a song and video he wrote and produced. He recently completed filming a musical in Berlin for which he also composed the score; the film MIT DU went on to win the Audience Award at the 2013 Lünen Film Festival and was screened during the 2014 Berlin Film Festival.
