This documentary was filmed in the run up to Michael Keegan-Dolan's show MÁM which brought the virtuoso concertina player Cormac Begley , the European musical collective 's t a r g a z e' and twelve international dancers to the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland. This immersive and meditative film follows this process over eight weeks from the first day of rehearsals to the opening night performance at the Dublin Theatre Festival. Fresh from the success of BLKDOG, Olivier award-winning Botis Seva teams up with Brazilian director Douglas Bernardt, who has worked with the likes of Arlo Parks. Two-time NYDC Guest Artistic Director Alessandra Seutin collaborates with Ben Williams, whose passion for hip hop has seen him work with the likes of the BBC. Collaboration is at the heart of these films, where choreographer and filmmaker work together on an equal basis - the filmmaker revealing and enhancing the work of the choreographer and the choreographer providing the source material or material for the filmmaker to work with. When the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Singin’ in the Rain transferred to the West End in 2012 it went on to be a hit with audiences and receive four Olivier nominations. Now it’s back for a five-week summer season at Sadler’s Wells with Adam Cooper returning to the role of Don Lockwood, made so famous by Gene Kelly in the MGM movie. We think the show will make quite a splash.
