Remember to Live, featuring Charlotta Öfverholm | Documentary
In the documentary Remember to Live, we follow 25 individuals aged 65-85 years in the creation of the dance piece Memento Vivere, choreographed and directed by Charlotta Öfverholm. Memento Vivere is a tragicomic dance theatre piece where participants share life-changing moments through dance, monologue and song. The performance is a call to remember to live, no matter what age you are. In the documentary, eight of the participants share their thoughts about the process from the idea to the premiere. The film is part of the AGE ON STAGE project, initiated by the artistic leader, choreographer, and dancer Charlotta Öfverholm, to demonstrate the value of age in the dance world specifically and in society at large. Documentary filmmakers Anders Larsson and Mia Kaasalainen followed the project for one year, filming rehearsals, making interviews, and documenting the dance. Adam Cooper returns to the role of Don Lockwood when Singin’ In The Rain has London season in summer 2020
When the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Singin’ in the Rain transferred to the West End in 2012 it went on to be a hit with audiences and receive four Olivier nominations. Now it’s back for a five-week summer season at Sadler’s Wells with Adam Cooper returning to the role of Don Lockwood, made so famous by Gene Kelly in the MGM movie. We think the show will make quite a splash.
