The Barn Theatre prides itself on being a “Theatre For All.” A place for everyone to share top-class regional theatre and performing arts education.
Our Vision – We have a vision to be a world-renowned theatre destination, inspiring, challenging and entertaining our audiences. We are a producing house, enriching lives with outstanding theatre, education and culture.
Our Mission – We believe that stories told with wit, flair and passion have the power to change lives.
We will work with everyone to establish a respected professional theatre, in the heart of the Cotswolds. The Barn Theatre will be a place where people from all walks of life can come together to participate in top-class regional theatre and performing arts education.
The Barn Theatre has received tremendous industry support in the run-up to its opening, with high profile ambassadors including actors James Dreyfus, Matthew Kelly, Heida Reed, Daisy May Cooper and Broadway director Jerry Mitchell lending their support to the project’s ambitious aims.
The theatre building itself which was formerly a WWII Nissen Hut housing community and youth theatre has undergone a complete transformation and is now equipped with a 200 seat air conditioned auditorium space, a new stage and orchestra pit beneath, hydraulic lifts and the latest in lighting, sound and projection technology.
A newly built atrium joins the theatre to the adjacent Ingleside House, providing a contemporary theatre bar and foyer space, and through access for audiences and visitors to the beautiful Ingleside House and gardens. The venue also includes a stunning, new stand-alone restaurant and piano bar (Teatro) with pre-theatre dining options, and a varied programme of live music at the 50-seat restaurant. The theatre’s Atrium bar will also be open during the daytime serving coffee and drinks.
