Notflix- Underbelly Southbank

They've sold-out at the Edinburgh Fringe, played to packed houses at the Vaults Festival, run their own all-female comedy night at Southwark Playhouse, and now the ladies of NOTFLIX are back at Underbelly Southbank Festival for a second year, ready to improvise two brand new movie-musicals in front of your very eyes...

Featuring the UK’s top female improvisers and a full live band, Notflix is a totally improvised comedy musical based on an audience suggestion of a popular movie. The cast use the location, key scenes and characters as a starting point to create a brand-new narrative. All scenes, songs and vocals are improvised spontaneously by the cast and a live band with no preparation or planning. Therefore, every show is completely different.

The show will run at Underbelly Southbank Friday 19th April – 21:15 and Saturday 20th April – 19:45. Tickets HERE.

The Notflix cast have made their mark on the comedy, improv and musical group scenes with a unique and niche blend of all three styles; something which is extremely rare and hard to achieve - they are one of a kind amongst UK musical and improvisation groups.

Notflix has had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2016-2018), London’s Vaults Festival (2017-2018) – where they were awarded a ‘High Commendation’ accolade from the Festival, and Brighton Fringe Festival (2017-2018). They have been recommended as ‘Pick of the Fringe’ in the Evening Standard, appeared in the Sunday Times, Marie Claire and Elle Magazine to name a few. For the Edinburgh Fringe 2018, prestigious venue ‘Gilded Balloon’ put the show in their flagship space; the 350-seater Debating Hall, where the girls will return for a full run in 2019.

The cast consists of incredible musical theatre professionals including one who is currently starring in the ‘Only Fools and Horses’ immersive experience, one who has recently won a New Act Competition for stand up, one who hosts a breakfast radio show and one who almost made it onto the Great British Bake Off…an eclectic bunch!
