She just finished a long run in SHOW BOAT in the West End on Saturday and before than Sheffield, but Rebecca Trehearn isn't taking much of a break. She's back treading the musical boards in a few weeks starring alongside Ashley Robinson in Jonathan Butterell's new production of FLOYD COLLINS at Wilton's Music Hall. Wilton's Music Hall announceds full cast and creative team for FLOYD COLLINS, based on the remarkable true story of a cave explorer and running from 21 September to 15 October 2016.

Original Chicago cast member of Wicked Ashley Robinson stars as cave explorer Floyd Collins, with Rebecca Trehearn, fresh from Daniel Evans' critically acclaimed revival of Show Boat at the West End's New London Theatre, playing his sister Nellie Collins.

Jack Chissick, who recently appeared in the 2016 Olivier Award-winning production of Gypsy in the West End, has been cast as Lee Collins, with Sarah Ingram as Miss Jane. Ingram's West End credits include Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Martin Guerre and Flashdance.

This extraordinary true story will also be brought to life by Ian Burfield, Craig Pinder, Marc Akinfolarin, Sam Thomas, Francesco Lo Giudice, Daniel Booroff, Joel Elferink, Christopher Jordan-Marshall and Alex Spinney.

It is 1952 in Kentucky, and fearless cave explorer Floyd Collins dreams of finding fame and fortune deep underground. When the unthinkable happens and he becomes trapped, it is a desperate race against time as Collins’ friends and family fight to set him free and keep his spirits up through a dark and dangerous time. Above ground, his plight catches the eye of the local press, and as the days and weeks pass, the whole country is riveted by his story and the media circus that surrounds it. In a touching tale of family, friendship and survival, Wilton’s provides the perfect backdrop to this powerful musical based on a remarkable true story.

This all-new production of Adam Guettel and Tina Landau’s award-winning musical takes audiences on a journey of determination and hope, as an entire nation prays for Collins’ safe return, accompanied by a hauntingly beautiful score.

FLOYD COLLINS is directed by Jonathan Butterell, with musical direction by Tom Brady, set and costume design by Lee Newby, lighting by Rick Fisher and sound by Tony Gayle. It's produced by Amadna Holland and presented in association with Wilton’s Music Hall, by special arrangement with R&H Theatricals Europe.
