Rebecca Trehearn gets some well earned time off this summer...

We're loving chatting to our StageFaves about their summer plans and this week is no exception! Our #SummerMusicalMoment interview series continues with the wonderful Olivier Award-winning Rebecca Trehearne who told us about working abroad, listening to some great musical theatre soundtracks and dreams of visiting Thailand...

Hey Rebecca! We know you're a very busy lady but tell us, will you get any time off this summer?
I will, for the first time in years!  I’m fairly busy with workshops and concerts but have a few weeks off around them.

That's great! What will you be getting up to on your days off?
I’ll be spending time with friends, family and the other half, enjoying as much sun as I can and catching up on some sleep!

Have you got a holiday planned?
I’m abroad with work a fair bit this year; I’ll be heading off to Ljubljana and Toulon soon for some concert work and hopefully squeezing in some sightseeing while I’m at it.  Otherwise, I’ve already spent some time off in Wales and am enjoying the sun and sea in Aberystwyth as I type!  Tooting Bec lido in London has become my second home lately too.

Where is your dream summer holiday escape?
I’d love to go to Thailand.  I love snorkelling, scuba diving and Thai food so it would tick all the boxes.

What are the 3 things you pack first when you head on holiday?
Bikinis, summer dresses and some good books.

What’s on your summer playlist?
Always a bit of Joni Mitchell, some Miles Davis, James Taylor. I listened to FUN HOME and Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 for the first time on my travels recently and really liked them.

And finally, who would be your dream holiday companion?
The other half!
