Legendary American television comedy show Saturday Night Live has spoofed screen-to-stage musical LEGALLY BLONDE, which had its UK premiere starring Sheridan Smith in 2010. Does it give you any ideas for which #StageFaves musicals they should tackle next?

The pre-recorded Saturday Night Live sketch depicts a group of middle school students putting on a performance of LEGALLY BLONDE. Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer and Aidy Bryant lead the cast in a series of clips cutting between the show itself and a group of teenagers hanging out backstage.

The programme, aired over the Easter weekend, was hosted by HAMILTON writer and #StageFave Lin-Manuel Miranda and included multiple musical sketches. (Could Hamilton, which has its West End premiere at the end of this year, get the middle-school SNL makeover next?)

We love SNL and think these fabulously funny women did a great job! Check out the video to hear your favourite LEGALLY BLONDE songs as you've never heard them before!

Every good sketch needs inspiration and there are rumours that inspiration came from this video of a Vancouver youth group production of the show. The video went viral and has been doing the rounds on Youtube ever since - we can see why!
