This week on @happymumhappybaby, I’m thrilled to say we have two of my mates joining me - @Vickypattison and @Ercan_ram . A few years ago Vicky decided to freeze her eggs, something that felt right at the time seeing as she wasn’t sure what the future would hold for her desire to have children and wanted to buy herself more time instead of rushing. she said the experience on social media and the reaction was mixed. Something that was difficult to navigate. We’re all individuals, living our own lives. What one woman does doesn’t impact others directly. Plus, she was after a bit of reassurance - not to be slammed with judgement and abuse. Vicky has also talked about PMDD, we know how hormones can affect anyone diagnosed with this, so a bit of kindness would’ve gone a long way. Vicky’s views on whether or not to have children are complicated. For years she’s wondered if she’s enough, if the fact she considers herself to be ‘broken’ would have a negative impact on potential children. As a friend of hers I have to say she is a woman with one of the biggest hearts and the love she’d have to offer a child is mahoosive… but this is a personal decision of the couple and only they can decide if and when to have children.
