SPEAK UP. This VLOG is a part of my #WellnessWednesday social media posts on my Twitter and Facebook pages. I wanted to kick off this new Vlog with something very close to my heart & something that NEEDS discussing more often. It’s longer than a usual Vlog but this topic is a complex one that I’ve broken down into a few questions. In this Vlog I ask: ❓Why does a physical illness receive more empathy than a mental one if brought up? ❓Why are we cultured to repress our emotions? ❓What could repressed emotion be doing to us physically? ❓And what can we DO to help move forward the understanding & awareness of mental health issues. As a Performer and a Yoga Teacher, I come across both physical AND mental health problems. Through my #YogaForCreatives initiative, social media pages and my classes/workshops, I hope to encourage more of us to speak up when we feel we need help or someone to chat to. I also hope to encourage more of us to be better listeners as the amount of people speaking openly about their feelings increases. The first of my "Quick Fix" Videos, this is for all Actors, Singers, Performers, Public Speakers... This 8 minute video is for anyone that exercises, pumps it in the gym, does a lot of core exercise (& rightly so!) yet still needs to SPEAK clearly, hit those TOP NOTES & being on form for auditions & shows. Exercising, as necessary as it is, can make our abdominal wall tight (among other things) which can cause unnecessary tension in & around the throat area. Use this video to begin to RELEASE this & teach your abs to know when to work & when to switch off. There are a lot of crazy noises in this video- so enjoy making them & let's keep those vocal chords HEALTHY.

This is a basic Introduction to beginning a daily Meditation Practice using methods that have and do work for me! This video is for anyone who feels daunted or intimidated by Meditation but has maybe thought or been told it could help them. The first time basic Meditation was broken down for me in simple terms I was actually surprised at how little there was to it! Although many may disagree with the above, this video is simply a basic intro with hints & tips that have helped me & my students. So take 10 minutes to sit, listen & experiment.
