In the world of theatrical performers, Ramin Karimloo is known as one of the most formidable talents in the industry. Heralded for his portrayal of leading roles Jean Valjean in Les Mirerables and the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Karimloo is a musical force unlike any other. In fact, it was his unbridaled reputation that led to his performance in the recent Oscar tribute to Les Misérables.
Iranian-born, Canadian actor, singer Ramin is recognized as the favorite leading man to perform in London's West End Musical Theatre by whatsonstage.com. Ramin has played starring roles in both of the West End's longest running musicals; Jean Valjean, Enjolras and Marius in Les Misérables and the Phantom and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera.
Ramin was hand picked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to portray the lead role in his sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies. He originated the role of Phantom in this sequel, a role that won him the prestigious Theatregoer’s Choice Award and the Broadwayworld.com award for Best Actor in a musical.
In 2011, Ramin played The Phantom for three performances alongside Love Never Dies co-star Sierra Boggess in the unique “25th Anniversary Production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall”, that was streamed live to cinemas across the world, providing an even larger stage for this theatrical superstar’s talent. Additionally, he performed the title song, Music Of The Night, during the Broadway 25th Anniversary of Phantom of the Opera.
Ramin also played the role of Enjolras in the “25th Anniversary Concert of Les Misérables” at The O2 Arena in London where it has been one of the most widely viewed shows in history.
His other musical theatre credits include Murder Ballad, Miss Saigon, Zorro - The Musical, Pirates of Penzance, Simply Barbara, Grease, Anything Goes and Bye Bye Birdie.

From wronged man to feared legend. ————— “Ramin Karimloo is Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” Once, he was Benjamin Barker. Now he is consequence. Because when a man loses everything, he becomes the wildest enemy you’ll ever make. Revenge has never sounded so good

A pro-wrestling musical. Always been a fan of pro-wrestling. So to see these two worlds come together with story-telling, great music and electric energy was something I never thought I would see let alone experience.
Here is an interview I did in Beijing with Guo Meiping from CGTN. Here is their copy edit of the interview … Ramin Karimloo never experiences China the same way twice. According to him, each visit opens a new chapter, shaped by fresh collaborators, new perspectives and his own artistic growth. In a recent interview with CGTN's Guo Meiping, the musical star shared that his next goal is to collaborate with Chinese artists. Don't miss this exclusive conversation! Enjoy.

Some songs are old friends, others are brand-new adventures — and every rehearsal is a chance to learn, re-learn, and rediscover. That’s the beauty of preparation. Even more special this time: after a very last-minute invite, we get to kick things off in Beijing! Grateful, excited, and ready to share this journey with you all. Growing our story … together.
Preparation is never just repetition—it’s exploration. Even the songs we know best reveal something new every time. Learning, re-learning, and rediscovering… that’s the beauty of this journey.
