In the world of theatrical performers, Ramin Karimloo is known as one of the most formidable talents in the industry. Heralded for his portrayal of leading roles Jean Valjean in Les Mirerables and the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Karimloo is a musical force unlike any other. In fact, it was his unbridaled reputation that led to his performance in the recent Oscar tribute to Les Misérables.
Iranian-born, Canadian actor, singer Ramin is recognized as the favorite leading man to perform in London's West End Musical Theatre by whatsonstage.com. Ramin has played starring roles in both of the West End's longest running musicals; Jean Valjean, Enjolras and Marius in Les Misérables and the Phantom and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera.
Ramin was hand picked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to portray the lead role in his sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies. He originated the role of Phantom in this sequel, a role that won him the prestigious Theatregoer’s Choice Award and the Broadwayworld.com award for Best Actor in a musical.
In 2011, Ramin played The Phantom for three performances alongside Love Never Dies co-star Sierra Boggess in the unique “25th Anniversary Production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall”, that was streamed live to cinemas across the world, providing an even larger stage for this theatrical superstar’s talent. Additionally, he performed the title song, Music Of The Night, during the Broadway 25th Anniversary of Phantom of the Opera.
Ramin also played the role of Enjolras in the “25th Anniversary Concert of Les Misérables” at The O2 Arena in London where it has been one of the most widely viewed shows in history.
His other musical theatre credits include Murder Ballad, Miss Saigon, Zorro - The Musical, Pirates of Penzance, Simply Barbara, Grease, Anything Goes and Bye Bye Birdie.

We were asked to contribute to the latest ‘quarantunes’ hosted by Richard and Demi Weitz. On this occasion Richard and Demi were awarded The Walt Disney Philanthropist of the year award for their incredible efforts raising millions during lockdown. Was really great to see them receive their accolade and also how many folks have helped their cause. Was honored to be asked and to connect with three of my favorite people who make up an incredible band, The Dives. Please check out their music. Thank you.
Can’t have a new member join the band and not take them through an Avett Brothers’ song. A rehearsal I had with Rebecca a few weeks back.

Great Song written by Randy Houser and Craig Monday
Inspired by the Larry Fleet version. I’ve always loved hearing this song and I love the word ‘Grace’.
Just got into this band their music. Been a while since I wanted to sing and this song got me strumming again. Please check out their music. Their version is stunning.
This song was written by Susan Werner. Not a religious man but these words resonate a lot right now.
Love this song. We play it in various ways. Here’s another one.
During lockdown and keeping ourselves creative we have always wanted to sing this song from ‘Songs For A New World’ written by Jason Robert Brown. It’s a song we found we both shared a mutual connection for. So we finally decided to sing this together. Love that this is one of Mandy’s favorites.
Chris Stapleton is one of my favorite artists and one of the greatest singers around. This song is heartbreakingly beautiful and I’ve been wanting to learn it for a while now. For Merchandise please visit - The Broadgrass Shop - https://tcbmerchandise.com/product-category/ramin-karimloo/

Well, more isolation collaborations with my band who I miss dearly. When I asked what we should do next Joe Kwon asked for Music Of The Night. Mind blown. So we did. Did not know the show would be re-aired for free around the world so perfect time to post. Much love to everyone.
My boy Hadley, on a walk in the forest bringing me up to speed on his gaming accounts and his desire to start streaming.
Another collaboration to pass time with someone I adore who is isolating at his house in Japan.
Another isolation duet. Sierra was kind enough to do a remote podcast with me and we wanted to sing together again so we did this while we are staying at home. Hope you enjoy. Most importantly, keep looking after each other, stay at home, stay kind and stay safe.
In honor of tonight’s Super Pink Moon, April 7, 2020... here’s a beautiful song from Dr Zhivago with the current star of London’s Phantom of The Opera, Kelly Mathieson. On Piano we have the amazing Matt Mellor.
We may be isolated at home but we can still do what we love with the people we love for the people we love▫️our yearly pilgrimage to Raleigh, North Carolina may be delayed this year for obvious reasons but we will organize something soon with @trianglewineexperience for @frankielemmonsch who we support ▫️
The inspired @alexpark_er encouraged me to join him and the wonderful musicians ...Violin Emily Davis ▫️Viola Polly Wiltshire▫️Cello Dave Hornberger▫️Double Bass Adam Higgs▫️Flute Sarah Manship▫️Clarinet Hannah Lawrance▫️Horn Joe Ryan▫️ to perform this number▫️The most important take away from this is @thankyouflag ▫️ Alex, thanks for organizing this. Was a lot of fun to do ▫️Great memories of working and creating this with Andrew▫️Great way to pass isolation-time as well▫️
Filling some isolation-time with this great band based in NYC. The Dives. Check them out www.thedivesmusic.com
I love this musical’s concept album (The Nashville Sessions). The orchestrations are stunning especially in this number. One of my favorites of Frank Wildhorn. So killing time as a lonesome plucker determined to practice more on the banjo.
An original I wrote with Victoria Shaw. During lockdown while house was full, the back of my pick-up out in front of my property seemed to be a nice little place of solitude.
I remember my Dad playing this record and loved Kenny Rogers’ voice. Amazing storyteller. One of the best.
Love this band. Love this song.
The first song I ever sang in front of an audience by my favorite band, The Tragically Hip.
My all time favorite band with a song that brings back such vivid and beautiful memories. Sing some Tragically Hip. It’s good for the heart.
Karimloo/Fraser penned original from back in the day. A song about the road and it’s folks.
