Evelyn Hoskins will be welcomed to the Waitress the musical diner, playing the role of Dawn, as we head into the New Year, while it’s also announced that original London cast member Marisha Wallace is going to be back as Becky in the West End production.
Best known for his performances in Falsettos, School of Rock and Funny Girl, actor Joel Montague will take over the role of Ogie from Joe Sugg in the London production of Waitress, beginning on 2 December 2019.

Well, that is exactly what Sara Bareilles is going to do when she plays Jenna in the London production of Waitress for six weeks from 27 January to 7 March 2020. And just look who is going to perform opposite her as Dr Pomatter, it’s only Olivier and Tony Award-winning actor Gavin Creel.

Sara Bareilles has often spoken about the amount of music that had to be cut before the final version of Waitress made it to Broadway. Below you can watch Jeremy Jordan singing the song ‘Without A Believer’ from the seven-track recording set for release on Friday 16 August.
It’s been a busy week in the diner for the West End production of Waitress with new cast members Lucie Jones, Ashley Roberts and Blake Harrison joining the cast plus the announcement that the Tony-nominated musical is now booking to 7 December 2019. He’s best known as Neil Sutherland in the award-winning E4 show The Inbetweeners, but now Blake Harrison is swapping the small screen for the West End production of Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre in what we think is his musical theatre debut, stepping into the role of Ogie on 17 June 2019 after Jack McBrayer plays his final performance.
It’s amazing what a little baking can do: Former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts will be making her West End debut as Dawn in Waitress at London’s Adelphi Theatre for a limited summer season from 17 June 2019, and on the same date we’re pretty excited to hear that Lucie Jones will be cooking up those life-changing pies as Jenna. Sugar, butter, flour and a whole lot more.
It’s been confirmed that Katharine McPhee will be putting her apron down and bidding farewell to the West End production of Sara Bareilles’ musical Waitress on 15 June 2019. Cue speculation about who will replace her. There are rumours that Lucie Jones is next in line, but we shall have to wait and see!
Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O’Bree attending the West End opening of the delicious WAITRESS at the Adelphi Theatre. And did we mention Perry squeezed in meeting awesome Waitress composer Sara Bareilles too? It’s amazing what a little baking can do.
