My neighbour Dudley gives his thoughts on Islander & Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Two of the theatres on my doorsteps in south London are Southwark Playhouse and the Union Theatre. So when I planned my visits to two musicals I've been working on Featured Show campaigns for StageFaves, I couldn't resist taking my theatre-loving, octogenarian neighbour Dudley as my plus-one. Two memorable nights out for me and Dudley!

Islander, Stewart Melton's ground-breaking Scottish folk two-hander performed by Kirsty Findlay and Bethany is at Southwark Playhouse. Sasha Regan's revival of Broadway and Hollywood classic Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, starring Abigayle Honeywill and Eleanor Lakin in the roles immortalised onscreen by Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, is at the Union Theatre. Both are booking until 26 October 2019 only.

Scroll down for my on-the-spot reactions - and Dudley's review videos - on visits to each. And #GetSocial with shows and casts on their StageFaves pages, of course!
