Matthew McKenna is from Glasgow where he trained at the Glasgow Academy of Musical Theatre Arts (GAMTA) before moving to London and receiving a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at Arts Educational School. Whilst at Arts Ed he played Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street; The Tinman in The Wiz and Vlad Vladikoff in Seussical the Musical.
Theatre includes: Bananaman in Bananaman the Musical (Southwark Playhouse), Fred in Kiss Me Kate (Kilworth House), Pat Denning in 42nd Street (Theatre du Chatelet), Cliff in Sunset Boulevard (ENO), Trevor in Thoroughly Modern Milllie (Kilworth House), Fergus in Love Me Tender (UK tour), Rod in Singing in the Rain (Theatre du Chatelet), Electra in Starlight Express, Riff Raff in Rocky Horror Show (Tour), Aaron in Legally Blonde (Savoy), Jeweller and understudy and played Raoul in Phantom of the Opera (London); Swing in We Will Rock You (Zurich, Switzerland) understudy and played Galileo and Brit in We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre); Billy in Angels and Kings (Now - Soul Traders) at the Arundel Festival and Featured Artist in the Side By Side by Sondheim 30th Anniversary Concert.
