Kirsty Findlay's last London stage outing, Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour, led to the Olivier Awards stage at the Royal Albert Hall. The Scottish actor now stars in another genre-busting transfer, Stewart Melton and Finn Anderson's ISLANDER, coming this week to London's Southwark Playhouse after its sell-out Edinburgh run. We caught up with her.

It's been a while since so many fantastic shows simultaneously closed on London's West End but this September is certainly a tough time for a lot of theatregoers! On Thursday 27 June, London’s West End showed an overwhelming display of support to the Mayor’s "London is Open" campaign. Over 30 theatres and shows collectively shared photos and videos on Twitter, encouraging visitors to come and experience the magic of London theatres. This week saw the raucous, riotous OUR LADIES OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR rock its way back onto the London stage for its West End opening night at the Duke Of York's Theatre.
